Chhattisgarh : State Chief Commissioner Khalsa said, “Focus on membership growth to accelerate scouting”
Review meeting of District Organization Commissioners of Bharat Scouts and Guides

Raipur : In a review meeting held at the State Headquarters of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, in Raipur on 17th Feb. Tuesday, the State Chief Commissioner emphasized membership growth.
State Chief Commissioner Indrajeet Singh Khalsa chaired the meeting with the District Organization Commissioners. State Treasurer Hemant Dewangan was also present. A one- to- one review of the district’s work was conducted as per the agenda. District Organization Commissioners, one by one, reported on the contributions received for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic sessions.

State Chief Commissioner Indrajeet Singh Khalsa urged 100% government schools to deposit contributions. Swami Atmanand schools were also directed to deposit contributions. They were urged to cover as many private schools as possible.
The State Chief Commissioner urged the District Organization Commissioners to prioritize the online youth management system. For OYMS, the assistance of computer operators or IT-savvy leaders, Rovers, and Rangers was requested. Information was gathered about active leaders in the districts. Discussions were held with the District Organization Commissioners regarding the status of the Basic Course in the 2024- 25 and 2025- 26 sessions and the number of units introduced after the Basic Course.
They were asked to develop an action plan for the Basic Course in the new academic session. The district annual program and implementation status, the district membership growth strategy and district membership growth targets, the district dashboard, participation in state and national-level camps and programs and the district’s income and expenditure status for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 sessions were also discussed. Participation in the 19th National Jamboree and the first National Rover Ranger Jamboree held in Balod were reviewed.
State Chief Commissioner Indrajeet Khalsa instructed some underperforming districts to improve their performance. Mr. Khalsa inquired from the District Organization Commissioners about the difficulties and problems being faced in their work and assured them of resolving them. It was said that a committee should be formed to further improve the social security of the District Organization Commissioners.

The State Chief Commissioner said that scouting has to be accelerated in a quality manner with teamwork and an active image of Chhattisgarh has to be created in the country. The meeting was conducted by the State Secretary in-charge Sarita Pandey.
Joint State Secretary Bina Yadav, State Coordinator (Membership Growth) Mohammed Sadique Sheikh, State Training Commissioner (Scout) Amit Kshatriya, State Organization Commissioners Poonam Sahu and Jalwati Sahu were prominently present in the meeting.
